Star Wars: The Bad Batch - Episode Twelve review

Sometimes you have to do what’s right, even if those in power label you a traitor. That’s what our protagonists find out in the latest episode of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch.” Episode Twelve, “Rescue on Ryloth,” picks up where “Devil’s Deal” left off. Hera Syndulla’s parents, Cham and Eleni, have been captured along with their supporters after Imperial Admiral Rampart framed them for killing Senator Taa.   Rampart plans to turn the Ryloth people against Cham by making it look like he killed Taa, who was a political enemy of his.   This strategy is the same one Democrats, Big Tech and the Legacy Media used against President Donald Trump and Trump supporters since the January 6 Capitol “Riot.”   Trump’s enemies perpetuated the lie that Trump encouraged physical violence during his January 6 rally speech, even though he used “fight” in a figurative sense and told his supporters to peacefully protest in Washington, D.C.   They even claimed Trump himself orchestrated the Ca...

Star Wars: The Bad Batch - Episode Eleven review

In Episode Eleven, “Devil’s Deal,” audiences learn more about a Star Wars character’s backstory.   Hera Syndulla goes on to lead a small Rebel group in the “Star Wars Rebels” TV show, where she’s a main character.   Yet “The Batch Bad” shows how Hera came to fight against the Empire by covering the events when the Empire came to her home planet of Ryloth.   Hera’s father, Cham Syndulla, was a general who served the Old Republic in the Clone Wars. He wants peace for his people and hopes that there can be peace now that the war is over and the Empire is in charge.    Unlike Raxus Senator Singh in the last episode, the Ryloth Senator, Orn Free Taa, is committed to the Empire and encourages his people to step down from their military positions.   Needless to say, the Ryloth citizens aren’t happy about this turn of events. They look to Cham and what he has to say.   Wanting to keep the peace, Cham reminds his people that the Clone Army came to their aid whe...

Star Wars: The Bad Batch - Episode Ten review

Nothing good comes from “healing” and “unity” at the point of a sword or a blaster, even against people you disagree with. In Episode Ten, “Common Ground,” that’s what audiences find out.   The Empire is expanding its control over the planets within the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), the “Separatists” as they were known as during the Clone Wars.   The Separatists fought against the Old Republic in the war. They formed the CIS as a rebellion against the Old Republic’s corrupt bureaucratic government. Their goal was to form a new independent government in order to govern themselves, although the Separatists relied on corrupt corporations like the Trade Federation in order to fight the Clone Wars.   If the Separatists wanted to be free and self-reliant, they shouldn’t have tied themselves to evil and greedy corporations looking to expand their own influence.   Since the Republic became the Empire, the CIS citizens don’t take kindly to their enemies ruling ove...

Star Wars: The Bad Batch - Episode Nine review

Sometimes we don’t know how special we truly are and others want to use us.  That’s what Omega and the Bad Batch discover in Episode Nine, “Bounty Lost.”   Hunter and the Bad Batch set out to rescue Omega from the bounty hunter, Cad Bane.   Of course, they first have to escape Crosshair and his Imperial forces, who are pursuing them.   Making the jump to hyperspace is a hard decision Hunter had to make. He blames himself for not keeping Omega safe and didn’t want to leave without her. Echo tells him that since Bane is long gone, there is nothing left for them on Bracca.   This reasoning makes sense to Hunter, and he orders his team to go to light speed. He needed his friends to show him logic and reason in order to focus his mind on protecting themselves and finding Omega.   Meanwhile, Omega finds herself a prisoner aboard Cad Bane’s ship.   It is revealed that Bane was hired by the Kaminoans to retrieve Omega. The Kaminoans view Omega as a product ins...
