Reflections on the 2024 NFL Season: Weeks 2 and 3 in Review

Well, who expected the NFL to look like this at Week 3?   Sure, teams in the AFC like the Kansas City Chiefs start off strong with a 3-0 start, but the Pittsburg Steelers surprised everyone with their 3-0 start given the quarterback controversy between Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, as well as the Steelers’ offense this season and lack of touchdowns.    The Chiefs have won all of their games by one score, and they continue to show signs of struggle. Chiefs fans know that feeling all too well and it’s still their team manages to overcome the odds and when their division goes the AFC championship game and win the Super Bowl thanks to Patrick Mahomes and their team.    The Baltimore Ravens surprised everyone with an 0-2 start to the season, their first since Lamar Jackson took over as quarterback. Reflections on the 2024 NFL Season: Week One in Review

We are now one week into the start of the 2024 NFL football season. Each team has high hopes of winning the Super Bowl this year, but only one can claim the prize.   For the Dallas Cowboys, this could be a make or break year. Quarterback Dak Prescott and Head Coach Mike McCarthy were both entering the last year of their contracts, while wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was entering the last year of his rookie contract.   Both McCarthy and Prescott have made good records during the regular season, but that hasn’t helped the team in the playoffs, especially given the fact they got embarrassed at home last season in the playoffs by McCarthy’s kryptonite, the Green Bay Packers. Funny how he always loses to them.   It also doesn’t help that McCarthy is bad at time management in must-win situations when the game is close in the 4th quarter.
