Dianne Feinstein: Anti-Catholic bias in today’s American politics
In the 1840s and 1850s, Irish immigrants arrived in the United States in massive numbers as a result of the Potato Famine in Ireland. Once they arrived in the United States, they were met with violent persecution not because of race, but because the majority of the Irish immigrants were Roman Catholics. As a result of Irish and other Catholics coming to America from Europe, the anti-Catholic and Nativist “Know-Nothing Party” demonized and attacked Catholics because of their Catholic faith. As shown by Catholic nominees by President Donald Trump to federal positions, Senator Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat from California, reveals herself to be a modern-day Nativist. Like Feinstein, liberal Democrats and the fake news media believe a conservative appointee, especially to a judiciary position, will attack pro-abortion policies and abolish Roe v.
