Dianne Feinstein: Anti-Catholic bias in today’s American politics
In the
1840s and 1850s, Irish immigrants arrived in the United States in massive
numbers as a result of the Potato Famine in Ireland.
Once they arrived in the United States, they were met with violent persecution not because of race, but because the majority of the Irish immigrants were Roman Catholics.
As a result of Irish and other Catholics coming to America from Europe, the anti-Catholic and Nativist “Know-Nothing Party” demonized and attacked Catholics because of their Catholic faith.
As shown by Catholic nominees by President Donald Trump to federal positions, Senator Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat from California, reveals herself to be a modern-day Nativist.
Like Feinstein, liberal Democrats and the fake news media believe a conservative appointee, especially to a judiciary position, will attack pro-abortion policies and abolish Roe v. Wade, the infamous Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion in the United States.
Last year, Feinstein attacked then-Professor Amy Coney Barrett when Trump nominated her for a position on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in September 2017.

Last year, Feinstein attacked then-Professor Amy Coney Barrett when Trump nominated her for a position on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in September 2017.
Barrett,
a Catholic, had taught law at the University of Notre Dame before being
confirmed as a 7th Circuit judge.
The National Catholic Register reported on Sept. 22, 2017, that Feinstein, who is the
high-ranking Democrat on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, claimed Barrett’s
Catholic “dogma” would impede her performance as a federal judge to uphold the
“law.”
So in
Feinstein’s mind, being a Catholic is a disability that should exclude you from
holding public office. She thinks Catholics should separate their Catholic
beliefs when it comes to issues like abortion. That’s ridiculous. Does
Feinstein also think people with real disabilities automatically means you
can’t hold a job? It wouldn’t surprise me.
This
summer, Barrett was also attacked for her Catholic faith by the liberal-left when she made the
short list of five candidates to replace U.S. Supreme Court Judge Anthony
Kennedy, who announced his retirement back on June 25. Liberals attacked
Barrett because of her involvement in the lay Catholic charismatic
organization, the People of Praise.
Once Barrett’s alleged affiliation with the People of Praise became public, the media immediately labeled the People of Praise as a “cult.” This is just another sign of anti-Catholic bigotry in the Democrat Party. These people associate anything to do with Catholicism to be evil, just like the Nativists before them. They couldn’t stand a faithful conservative Catholic rising to the high rank of Supreme Court Justice.

It
wouldn’t surprise me if members of the liberal media and Democrat politicians
also consider other Catholic charismatic and young adult organizations as
“cults,” including Saint Paul’s Outreach (SPO), the Fellowship of Catholic
University Students (FOCUS), and Communion Liberation (CL). And they’ll have
more than they bargained for if they try attacking the Knights of Columbus,
too.
As soon as Kennedy made his announcement, liberals cried bloody murder that any nominee from Trump to the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade. This happened regardless of which person Trump picked, whether he or she was a Catholic or not.
Judge Brett Kavanaugh, also a Catholic, ultimately received Trump’s nomination. Just like Barrett, he also is facing attacks from Senate Democrats and the liberal media. The latest accusation came after Senator Feinstein brought forth a sexual assault allegation against Kavanaugh.
It’s not a coincidence that Feinstein just revealed these accusations at the last possible moment in Kavanaugh’s confirmation process. After she sat on this information since June and didn’t bring it up when Kavanaugh addressed the Senate Judiciary Committee.
If Feinstein actually
thought the accusation was credible, why didn’t she reveal it immediately
instead of hanging on to it for over two months now? Because she doesn’t care
if the accusations against Kavanaugh are true or not.
It’s clear Feinstein’s
actions are just another politically-charged attack against Kavanaugh’s character. She’s going after him
because he’s a Trump appointee and a Catholic. She also must be targeting Kavanaugh because he is a Catholic, just as she
attacked Amy Coney Barrett during her confirmation hearing last year.
Feinstein,
like other Democrat politicians, can’t stand the sight of Catholic
conservatives in high-ranking positions on the local, state and federal levels
of government. They aren’t interested in serving the American people. They only
want to keep their power and destroy Trump.
Like everyday Americans who have conservative beliefs, Judge Kavanaugh is being attacked by Democrats because he supports Donald Trump. Liberals like Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn) also claim Kavanaugh has to prove his innocence or guilt, not his accuser. They immediately assume Kavanaugh is guilty. This naïveté and disregard for “innocent until proven guilty” goes against our American concept of justice.
That’s the Democrats’ vision
of America: a socialist anti-Catholic society where the rule of law doesn’t apply
equally to everyone. If anyone accuses you of anything, people will
automatically say you are guilty. They can’t handle the truth.
We Americans have a choice in the Midterm elections this November: continue supporting President Trump and making lives better for everyday Americans by electing Republicans and Trump supporters, or blindly let the Democrats seize control of the House and Senate in order to destroy Trump and enslave America.
It’s time to stand up and
keep our country free and great.
