Illegal Immigration and the Caravan: The Battle for the Heart of the United States
When a large
group of foreign nationals gather towards a country’s border, their intent is
usually hostile.
At the
start of World War I in 1914, Belgium knew that when the German Army marched
towards their country that they were being invaded. The Schlieffen Plan, named
after the German general of the same name, was carefully planned and organized.
The Germans knew going through Belgium and violating Belgian sovereignty was
the best course of action to achieve their goals.
Now,
the United States is facing a growing threat from Central America—a large body
of people from Honduras and El Salvador determined to violate our national
sovereignty by breaching the U.S.-Mexico Border.
The
migrant “caravan” made up of over 5,000 Central Americans continues their march
north towards the United States. They are now less than 1,000 miles from
our border.
This
group is determined to achieve their aims by crossing into our country
illegally. Given the United States’ flawed and broken immigration system, these
people may never leave our country.
President
Donald Trump is determined to stop them. Trump
said he would use the U.S. Military to stop the migrants from violating our
sovereignty. He kept his promise.
On
October 29, President
Trump ordered 5,000 U.S. troops to the U.S.-Mexico Border in order to stop
these migrants from crossing into the United States illegally. These
troops will mostly play supporting roles to help the Border Patrol and the
National Guard stationed at the border, along with supplying air and ground
support.
Earlier
today, President
Trump told reporters that he may send up to 15,000 U.S. troops to the
border as well.
President
Trump is right to send U.S. troops to the Southern Border. As a people and a
nation, we have to fight to protect our sovereignty and our rights. That includes
securing our borders.
The
truth is we don’t know who is coming across our border in these migrant
“caravans.” The fact that these people are waving the flags of Honduras and
Mexico shows that they are not ashamed of being citizens of those countries.
Their claims for asylum are a hoax. Armies carry the flag of their country or
group. These people are determined to invade the United States under the
Honduran flag, or any flag other than the American Flag.
Regardless
of where you stand on the immigration issue, the fact remains that if you
violate the laws of a country, you don’t respect that country or its citizens.
The people who cross into the United States illegally show they don’t care
about the United States and upholding our laws because they already violated a
major law. They consciously came here illegally without going through the legal
means available.
It will
take more than U.S. troops acting as support troops to the Border Patrol in
order to protect and safeguard our country and everyday Americans. We will need
more U.S. troops, including combat troops, to secure and strengthen the
Southern Border. We also need to build President Trump’s border wall and
complete every inch of it.
I’m
sure Belgium wished they had built a physical barrier to keep out Kaiser
Wilhelm’s men back in 1914. Or an army stationed at the border.
President
Trump and Republican leaders in the U.S. House and Senate must stand firm and
step up in reforming immigration without appeasing Democrats like “Crying”
Chuck Schumer and “Heresy” Nancy Pelosi.
The
United States should also cut off all foreign aid to every Central and South
American county where these illegal migrants are coming from, including
Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. No exception. These counties don’t deserve
the hard-earned dollars of American taxpayers. Not even a single cent.
We as
individual Americans must take action in order to protect our lives, our job
security, and our livelihood. The first step is voting in these Midterm
Elections for Republican candidates who love the United States and will help
make America great again.
The
2018 Midterm Elections on November 6 will show us Americans way country we will
be living in.
We are
no longer the Silent Majority. We are the majority.
Will we
continue to live in a prosperous nation under Trump and continue rebuilding our
economy and our great nation?
Or we
will let the the liberal Democrats take control of our state and federal
governments and expand their Socialist power from the Deep State?
Will we
be a nation of laws or lawlessness?
