Millennials: A Divided Generation

Socialist, ignorant, lazy.

That’s what a lot of people claim Millennials are.

Millennials, those men and women between the ages of 20 and 35, or born between the years of 1980 and 1995, are commonly seen as more liberal than conservative.

Conservative commentator Michael Knowles of “The Daily Wire” claims that New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represents Millennials as a generation.

I don’t agree with everything Knowles says, but I believe he is wrong in assuming a majority of Millennials are liberals and hate capitalism.

Rather, Millennials are divided evenly between conservative and liberal views. That’s usually the case for any age demographic or religious group.

Catholics are a prime example. Fifty percent of Catholics are conservative and vote Republican, while the other fifty percent are liberals who vote for Democrats.

Ocasio-Cortez, the self-avoided Democrat Socialist from Brooklyn, embodies the radical leftist Millennials. She is one of those Catholic Millennials who hold radical beliefs that go against American values and Catholic teaching. She wants big government, higher taxes for normal Americans, supports and enables the killing of unborn children through legalized abortion, and wants the government to control every aspect of your everyday life.

Not all Millennials are like Ocasio-Cortez.

Just like Catholics, Millennials are divided evenly on the issues and ideals. Especially Catholic Millennials.

The problem is that most news commentators focus on Ocasio-Cortez and associate Millennials with her beliefs. But that’s not the case.

There are plenty of Millennials who are conservative, especially among the Catholic Millennials.you just have

I myself am a Millennial. So are many of my friends. And I know we do not

The same “experts” and “reporters” that claim most Millennials are left-wing extremists hell-bent on turning the United States into a socialist state are the same ones who fail to understand that the majority of pro-lifers in the United States are young men and women. Liberal media gives no coverage of the annual March For Life rallies that take place every January in Washington, D.C., and throughout the country.

Many young men and women attended the 46th annual March For Life rally on Friday, January 18, in Washington, D.C., and at other March For Life rallies across the country last week.

And that’s just the young people who are able to attend the March For Life. There are also many young men and women at home who stand for life and the protection of unborn children in the United States.

Not all Millennials are lazy or stupid. A lot of us struggle with getting a job in our field and being able to support ourselves and a family of our own. That’s the struggle we face having to deal with the aftermath of eight years under Obama’s failed economic policies. We’re seeing progress in a growing U.S. economy with Trump, but there’s still a lot of work to do.

Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t represent our generation. She just represents half of them.

We are the real Millennials. We protect the rights of unborn children. We march, we pray and we take action.

We don’t want or need the government to take care of us. We want to be the best version of ourselves that we can be and take pride in our work, no matter what it is.
