(Parody) Mel Gibson sends friend requests to Anti-Semitic Democrats in Congress

It’s been over three months now since
Nancy Pelosi and obstructionist Democrats took control of the House of
Representatives. Since then, Rep. Omar and her freshman Democrat classmates
have made anti-Semitic statements against Israel and the Jewish people.
Mel Gibson has taken notice.
Mel Gibson has taken notice.
The “Braveheart”
and “Mad Max” star sent Facebook and Twitter friend requests to Reps.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilham Omar, and Rashida Tlaib — all first-term
Democrats.
“I figured since we
have a lot in common that they would be thrilled to be my friends,” Gibson told
reporters outside his Hollywood estate. “They hate Jews and everyone thinks I
hate Jews as well. We’d make great friends.”
Gibson’s remarks
came after the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives passed
a watered-down version of an anti-hate resolution last week. The resolution, which
was originally supposed to focus only on condemning anti-Semitism, failed to
specifically mention anti-Semitic remarks repeatedly made by Omar or mention
her by name.
Gibson was
criticized after making anti-Semitic statements after he was arrested for DUI
in 2006.
Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez was openly offended by Gibson’s remarks.
“How sexist is it of [Mel Gibson] to think that,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “He only hates Jews when he’s drunk or high on drugs. We hate them 24/7.”

President Trump
weighed in on the situation by saying the
Democrats are now the “Anti-Jewish” Party, shortly before taking off in Air
Force One to visit victims of the Alabama tornado.
Gibson later admitted he only sent the friend requests after losing a bet to a friend.
“My friend told me
the Democrats can’t even do a simple task like signing a resolution solely
condemning hatred of Jews,” Gibson said to reporters. “I betted that if they
did do that — or if they caved in to the radical anti-Jewish wing of their
party — then I would send friend requests to every Democrat who voted for the
bill. I’m sorry to say I lost the bet.”
Gibson plans to
make a film focusing on a group of First Crusade knights as they defeat a
Muslim force ten times their size and save Jerusalem from the Muslim troops, in
an apparent jab at Omar and Tlaib.
The “First
Crusaders” film is expected to come out four years after Gibson’s sequel to
“The Passion of the Christ” and a film about the Battle of Lepanto, where an
underdog Christian naval force defeats the Muslim Turks from attacking Catholic
Europe.
Gibson is rumored
to star as Pope Pius V, who interceded with the Blessed Mother Mary on behalf
of the Catholic forces during the battle, in the “Lepanto” film.
