Clark Kent has finally come out as Superman — Boy Scout, boy wonder and superhero.
Kent made the announcement at a Metropolis MAGA rally as he started his campaign to run as a Republican in the 2022 Gubernational Election race for Kansas Governor against ultra-liberal Kansas Governor Laura Kelly.
“I fight for truth, justice, and the American way — everything Governor Kelly stands against,” Kent said at the rally during his speech. “I stand for all Kansans and promise to make Kansas great again.”
Kent immediately condemned Kelly’s actions as Governor — from taking away the money Kansas citizens would have earned thanks to President Trump’s tax reforms, to raising taxes and income taxes on Kansas citizens and workers, to vetoing legislation that protects unborn children and people who want to be able to own guns.
“Kelly broke her promises to put the interests of Kansans above herself,” Kent said. “She’s continuing to make Kansas a living Hell for residents — all because of her Democrat-Socialist agenda. She must be stopped!”
Kent made it clear he is giving up command of the Justice League if he wins the election.
Kent was asked on how he would defend himself against Kelly’s attacks and character assassination (since Kent/Superman is an alien from Krypton) Kent said: “I grew up in Kansas. I’m as American as you can get.”
Kent will begin his campaign tour in the Kansas City area before making his way to Lawrence and Wichita, where he will address his stances on issues facing Kansas and the United States.
He will then make his way to Western Kansas, speaking to farmers and addressing their needs, before ending his tour in his hometown of Smallville.
