Once again it’s LeBron James versus Golden State.

Warner Brothers announced that the Golden State Warriors are the antagonists in the new “Space Jam 2” film, starring LeBron James.

Early pictures from the production set show Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and the rest of the Warriors playing basketball against cardboard cutouts of famous Looney Toons characters, acting as stand-ins for CGI versions of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Tweety Bird.

“We’re proud to have this opportunity to beat LeBron not just in basketball, but on the big screen as well,” Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr said at a press conference following his team’s Game 2 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2019 Western Conference Finals.

The film is believed to center around James’ quest to find a perfect team to defeat the Warriors in the NBA Finals.

“Since the Cavaliers couldn’t help James defeat the Warriors three times out of four, we believe he needs an entire universe to help him,” the film’s producer said, referring to the entire Looney Toons lineup.

The filmmakers released the lineup of players helping James face the Warriors. Some of the players include:

Bugs and Lola Bunny, who are now married and have 3800 children,

Daffy Duck, who is expected to annoy the Warriors’ players to death by ranting at them,

Bill Murray – yes, he still wants to be a professional basketball player,

Johnny Manziel, who needs a job after his AAF career ended suddenly,

Wylie Coyote, whose plans to stop the Warriors blow up in his face (literally)

Tweety Bird, who everyone pretends to understand but never does.

The film is expected to feature the entire Looney Toons Universe playing against the Warriors.

“There’s also a scene where Kevin Durant loses his talent and can’t play basketball, a homage to the original film,” the producer added, “but we ended up cutting that entire scene out because it felt too much like a sequel to ‘Thunderstruck.’”

Michael Jordan, the star of the original Space Jam, is set to make a cameo performance in the sequel, where he will play one-on-one with King James.

Despite having thousands of characters on his team, James is expected to once again lose to the Warriors.
