Everyday Americans need to take action against Hollywood film studios threatening Georgia over a pro-life law

In most movies and TV shows, there’s an evil corporation that works to undermine ordinary Americans and hurt them.

The Alien, Avatar and Resident Evil franchises (just to name a few) all feature corporations that use their influence to threaten people’s lives and push their own ideologies onto ordinary citizens.

Hollywood film studios are in fact that evil corporation they portray in film.

Disney, Netflix, and other film studios are threatening to boycott the state of Georgia over their pro-life “heartbeat” bill. Their logic is that if American citizens don’t support their views on legalized abortion, then they’ll ruin your lives by taking away their film production business.

This is ironic because, as conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh points out, Disney is suppose to be a family-oriented film production company for kids. And yet Disney is attacking a red state like Georgia for enacting a law to protect families and unborn children

This isn’t the first time Disney used intimidation to get their way. They pulled funding from the Boy Scouts of America over that organization’s previous stances against openly gay Scout leaders.

Disney is doing the same thing with Georgia.

Originally, Hollywood is a popular tourist destination. Now we should look at other places to spend our money.

Moviegoers and ordinary Americans should put their mouths where their money is and just boycott Hollywood film studios attacking Georgia. There are several ways to do this.

First, cut tourism to Hollywood. This will take millions of dollars out of Hollywood’s pockets annually from tourists on vacation. It will also hurt the local economy in Los Angeles because people won’t be paying for hotels, food, gas and other services in and around Hollywood. After all, we are just taking our business (and our money) elsewhere.

Second, Another option is to stop going to see new movies these companies dish out. Disney’s “live-action” remakes are simply cash grabs to steal more of our money. We shouldn’t waste $15 to buy one movie ticket to see these films.

Third, unsubscribe to these film studios’ streaming services. There is already an online petition to cancel subscriptions to Netflix in retaliation for Netflix aligning itself with the ACLU in order to sue Georgia over the Heartbeat Bill.

Disney is also planning to launch a new streaming service, “Disney+,” on November 12, 2019. We should commit ourselves to not subscribing to their online service.

It’s time Hollywood elitists like Disney CEO Bob Iger that they can’t dictate what we the people decide. We voted for candidates that match our conservative beliefs. No one in Washington, D.C., or Hollywood can stop us from enacting laws that protect unborn children and protect our rights as Americans.

The individual states that make up the United States have the right to govern themselves and pass laws for their own citizens. Disney and other outside interferers have no right to stop us or threaten us.

Remember, in those movies and TV shows, the evil corporation cares only about expanding their own power and influence over the people. They don’t care about us — just our money.

Disney and Hollywood elitists have no business telling us how citizens in Georgia, Alabama, Missouri or any other state in our country how to govern ourselves.

We American citizens won’t allow Disney or any other film studio get that far.
