Another big-name actor joins the cast of the next MCU Spider-Man film.

Charlie Cox has agreed to play Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the untitled third Spider-Man film in the MCU.

“I am truly blessed and thankful for the opportunity to once again play Matt Murdock in the MCU,” Cox told reporters. “I honestly wasn’t sure if my career in the MCU was over. Thank you, Marvel, for making this happen.”

Cox preciously played Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Netflix original TV show, “Marvel’s Daredevil.”

“Daredevil” was cancelled after three seasons, along with the rest of the Marvel-Netflix shows,  due to contract disputes with Disney (which owns Marvel Studios) and the emergence of Disney’s own streaming service, DisneyPlus.

It is unclear if the other Marvel-Netflix characters will ever star in Marvel movies or TV shows again.

Cox will work alongside Tom Holland, who will reprise his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. (Holland has played Spider-Man in the first two MCU Spider-Man films, as well as “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”)

Details of Cox’s role in the film are still under wraps, but Kevin Feige stated that Matt Murdock would be Peter Parker’s lawyer.

“‘Spider-Man: Far from Home’ left us with a cliffhanger,” Feige told reporters. “The world now knows Peter’s secret identity and thinks he was responsible for the attack in London. Obviously, he must fight to clear his name in court and in the public eye, and so Happy Hogan (played by Jon Favreau) sets him up with Nelson and Murdock.”

The third Spider-Man film takes place after “Far from Home” and focuses on Peter Parker’s court battle to clear his name and reputation, with Cox’s Daredevil as his lawyer.

“Because in today’s world, you just need a fifteen second video clip to ruin a young kid’s life,” Feige said. “Or you’d go through his old Twitter posts for anything you don’t like.”

Feige’s words echo the Democrats and the mainstream media’s condemnation of the Covington Catholic students who were accused of racism because they wore MAGA hats.

The untitled Spider-Man film doesn’t have a release date yet.

At publishing time, Keanu Reeves was rumored to star as Kraven the Hunter, who will be the main antagonist in the third Tom Holland-era Spider-Man film.
