Democrats try to stop President Trump’s military power, but it doesn’t change anything
Only Trump can get Democrats to side
with Iranian terrorists.
The Democrat-controlled Congress passed
a War Powers resolution yesterday against President Donald Trump.
This measure was made in response to
Trump ordering military action against Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the
leader of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Soleimani was killed in a U.S. drone
strike on Thursday, January 2, at Baghdad International Airport.
Both
Democrats and Republicans had defections in the resolution vote.
Democrats hope that the War Powers resolution
will prevent Trump from ordering military actions against Iran, a clear attack
against his authority as Commander-in-Chief of our military.
The problem for Democrats is that the
resolution passed in the House is a non-binding measure. It carries no weight
of being enacted.
Anyone in Congress can push forward a
non-binding resolution to support or condemn anything.
The other fact going against Democrats
is that President Trump isn’t infringing on Congress’s constitutional right to
declare war.
The last time Congress officially
declared war on another country was in World War II, just after the Japanese
attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
Only Congress can openly declare war,
but that doesn’t mean the United States hasn’t sent troops throughout the
world. History tells us differently. The military actions in Korea, Vietnam and
every other U.S. military engage were carried out without Congress officially
declaring war.
Contrary to what the Democrats say,
President Trump was completely justified to launch attacks against Iran.
The President’s actions were in direct
response to Iranian aggression in the region.
First, there was the
rocket attack from Iranian-backed militias that killed a U.S. contractor
and wounded several U.S. troops.
Trump responded to this attack by
targeting those militia groups, killing 25 Iranian fighters.
Then came the attack on the U.S.
Embassy in Baghdad by Iranian-backed forces on New Year’s Eve, 2019 — just last
week.
President Trump responded by
immediately sending in 100 Marines to defend the embassy and drive back the
insurgents, followed by more military reinforcements to the region.
Trump made sure Baghdad wouldn't become
“another Benghazi.”
President Trump has also sent thousands
of U.S. troops to the Middle East in order to deter Iran.
Keep in mind that these events happened
long after the Iranians shot down a U.S. drone, attacked oil fields in Saudi
Arabia and captured oil tankers.
Iran’s aggressive actions tell us that
President Trump acted justly against them. The fact that Democrats are trying
to undermine Trump’s military power when it comes to Iran proves they care more
about Iranians than they do about the United States and ordinary
Americans.
Do the Democrats expect us to believe
them when they say Trump was wrong to attack Iran, especially after they’re
still delaying to send the bogus articles of impeachment from going to the
Senate?
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) claims
that Congress will send the impeachment articles to the Senate next week, but
we will have to wait and see.
You may or may not like Trump or his
policies, but he is keeping America safe.
The world is safer today because
Soleimani is dead.
Soleimani was responsible for the
deaths of at least 600 U.S. troops in the Middle East and wounding thousands
more. That doesn’t include the civilians killed in Iran or the Middle East
under Soleimani’s reign of terror.
Remember, Iran has been antagonizing
the United States for over forty years. It began when they stormed our embassy and
took hostages in 1979.
The Iranian government and their people
have always chanted “Death to America,” burned our American flag and called for
our destruction. They are the ones threatening Israel with the threat of
annihilation. Their proxy groups carry out terrorist attacks throughout
the Middle East.
Iranians are the ones actually
escalating tensions, not President Trump’s actions or words. You will never
hear that from the Democrats or the mainstream media.
President Trump responded to the attack
on our embassy by killing Soleimani, the world’s number one terrorist, in a
drone strike.
In retaliation for Soleimani’s death, Iran
launched 15 ballistic missiles at U.S. military bases on Tuesday in Iraq.
Luckily, no American casualties were reported.
President Trump is standing up to Iran
by not backing down. He is not trying to get the U.S. into another endless
war.
Trump could have called for U.S. military
action after Iran launched retaliatory attacks at U.S. military bases on Tuesday,
but he is choosing the right path. He isn’t escalating the situation with
military attacks inside Iran.
Instead, the Trump Administration announced
new economic sanctions against Iran earlier today.
Trump would have acted different if any
U.S. personnel had been killed or wounded in Tuesday’s missile attacks by Iran.
The President is not going to send in
troops to invade Iran. He will continue using economic sanctions to cripple
Iran and its regime. As Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Military, the President
can also use our latest weaponry and firepower to attack strategic targets
inside Iran, such as their oil fields and nuclear facilities. We do not have to
step foot in Iran in order to defeat them.
If the Iranians kill another U.S.
soldier or civilian, or attack another U.S. military base or embassy, Trump
will respond with lethal force. He has already done it before and he will
do it again.
President Barack Obama gave the
Iranians billions in dollars on pallets.
Trump will continue showing them
America’s superior military power, one target at a time.
