(Parody) Boy Scouts of America group disavows Mitt Romney over Trump impeachment vote

[Disclaimer: This article is a parody story. While some events in this article are actually taking place, it is written for comedy purposes and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.]

Catholic and Christian troops in the Boy Scouts of America condemned Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) voting to convict President Donald Trump.

(I refuse to call the Boy Scouts “Scouting BSA” because I don’t agree with the current leadership of the Boy Scouts organization destroying the traditional values of the Boy Scouts. They will always be called the Boy Scouts.)

The male and female Scout leaders, mostly parents of boys in the troops, believe Romney has betrayed the Scout Oath and his honor as an Eagle Scout — and as a Republican.

“We strongly disagree with Mitt Romney and his hatred of President Donald Trump,” the coalition group of Catholic and Christian Boy Scout Tripp’s wrote in a statement. “He has slammed Trump since 2016 and his behavior doesn’t represent Scouting or the honor of Eagle Scout.”

The Senate voted to acquit Trump on both impeachment articles on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Romney, an Eagle Scout, was the only Republican Senator to vote against Trump.

All Democrat Senators voted to convict Trump on both articles.

Romney isn’t a model for young boys and men to follow.

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry (also an Eagle Scout), details in his book, “On my Honor: why the American values of the Boy Scouts are worth fighting for,” how Romney worked to ban Scout volunteers from helping with the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics after backlash from the LGBTQ-whatever-else-they-put-in-this-group community.

“Romney has betrayed the Boy Scouts and the Republican Party,” one of the male parent adult Scout leaders told Fox News. “He deserves to be disowned by the Boy Scouts and removed from the Republican Party.”

Romney responded to criticism from the Scouts by announcing he will go see “The Book of Mormon” on Broadway.

“If I can find something I hate more than Trump, even a Broadway musical that makes Mormons like me look like complete morons, then I’ll repent from my evil ways against Republicans and embrace Trump as my leader,” Romney’s office said in a released statement.

“I will also apologize to Trump supporters who hate my guts, which would be all Trump supporters,” Romney’s statement continued.

Sadly, after seeing the play, Romney still hates Trump more than an irreligious Broadway musical-comedy or the Boy Scouts.
At publishing time, the Catholic-Christian Boy Scout group also condemned 2020 Democrat Candidate (and Eagle Scout) Michael Bloomberg for attacking President Trump and Trump supporters.
