The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl Champions!

The Chiefs defeated
the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV.
They will now meet
the President of the United States.
The Chiefs organization
accepted an invitation from President Donald Trump to visit the White House for
a celebration event honoring their first Super Bowl victory in 50 Years, their
second in franchise history.
The team immediately received harsh criticism from liberal figures in sports and politics who believe everything should be a political statement against Trump.

“The Chiefs have a chance to stick it
to this dumb President and his dumb supporters and policies,” ESPN Host Stephen
A. Smith said. “I mean, they’re just emboldening him with these dumb
celebrations and dumb victory parades.”
The Chiefs became one of the few sports teams among the MLB, NFL, NCAA, NBA and NHL to visit the White House after winning a championship during Trump’s years in office.
Last year, the NHL’s
St. Louis Blues and MLB’s Washington Nationals visited President Trump at the
White House after winning their championships.
The celebration was a success and Blues players and staff could be seen smiling with the Commander-In-Chief.
“It’s important that we keep sports and politics separate and enjoy the chance to visit the White House,” Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid said as he stood next to Trump, following a photo shoot with the President shortly after the Chief's Super Bowl win. “But clearly, these people are the ones who rooted against us and hoped we would fail. Who’s got the last laugh now?”

“Going to the white House is a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, just like winning the Super Bowl and going to
Disney World,” Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “You dream about these
things your whole life.”
Trump agreed with Reid and Mahomes, saying sports are all about having fun and doing your best.
“People go to sporting events to have fun and a great time,” Trump said. “They go there to root for their team. They don’t go there to hear political statements or watch people disrespect our flag, our country and them.
“The Chiefs had this
opportunity to visit the White House and they took it,” Trump added. “They did
it despite the difficulties they faced.”
Progressives made similar attacks last
year against the St. Louis Blues after they won the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs
and went to the Trump White House.
At publishing time, liberal sports figures redoubled their commitment to never like Trump or respect the office of President when a Republican is the President.
