(Parody) Mitch McConnell tears up impeachment articles, jabbing at Pelosi’s SOTU smear against Trump

[Disclaimer: This article is a parody story. While some events in this article are actually taking place, it is written for comedy purposes and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.] 


They say revenge is sweet.

For Mitch McConnell, Senate Republicans and Trump supporters, it was personal.

Republican Senate Majority Leader ripped up the two impeachment articles against President Donald Trump.

McConnell’s actions came after the Senate voted to acquit Trump of both impeachment articles.

The Senate voted 52-48 against the abuse of power article and 53-47 against the obstruction of Congress article.

All Republicans, except for Utah Sen. Mitt Romney (a RINO – “Republican in name only”), voted against both articles of impeachment.

Romney voted to convict Trump on the abuse of power article.

All Democrats voted for both articles and to convict Trump.

After President Trump was acquitted of both impeachment articles, McConnell, standing on the Senate floor, held up the two impeachment articles and tore them up in front of the entire Senate.

“President Trump is acquitted of both articles of impeachment and now I’m showing everyone how we Republicans feel about those entire impeachment witch hunt,” McConnell said before he tore up the impeachment articles.

McConnell was met with praise, cheers and applause from conservatives and Republicans and for his actions.

“So glad to have Mitch McConnell leading the Senate,” Trump tweeted, along with a video clip of McConnell tearing up the bogus impeachment articles.

McConnell’s actions are a clear jab at Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after Pelosi ripped up Trump’s State of the Union speech last night.

Pelosi tore up a copy of Trump’s speech right after he had finished giving his third State of the Union Address during his presidency – right as she stood behind Trump.

This comes after Trump ignored shaking Pelosi’s hand as he made it to the podium to begin his address.

President Trump agreed with McConnell giving Pelosi a taste of her own medicine.

“Heresy Nancy is a horrible person,” Trump said. “She started this sham impeachment witch hunt against me. She is a sore loser and she and Democrats will lose again in 2020.”

Local Kansas City parish hosts annual Marian Conference
