President Donald Trump announced the creation of a second White House task force to reopen the U.S. economy and get Americans and American businesses back to work.

This task force will consist of experts — both in the Trump Administration and in the private sector — in economics and business to help figure out the best way to reopen the U.S. economy and decide when to open it — whether in 4-8 weeks or a few months.

The names of everyone on the “Opening our Country” Task Force have yet to be released, as the task force is still forming, but at least six of them have been announced.

President Trump announced at one of his nearly daily White House Coronavirus Task Force briefings that NBA’s Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, Kevin O’Leary, Lori Greiner, Robert Gerjavec, Barbara Corcoran and Daymond John – the “Sharks” of “Shark Tank” – will be joining Trump’s economic task force.

“These guys are amazing because they are experts in business and economics,” Trump said of the “Shark Tank” team. “Have you seen ‘Shark Tank’? They know a good deal and great business model when they see one.”

“Shark Tank” is a reality TV show where rich investors (“Sharks”) hear from aspiring entrepreneurs and decide whether to support the entrepreneurs’ business or product.

The “Sharks” believe they can help the White House decide which businesses and entrepreneurs to invest in.

“We’re experts in business, employing workers and working with entrepreneurs,” Cuban said at today’s White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, where the “Sharks” were announced as members of President Trump’s council for the second task force. “We’ll help open our country back up so that we can get both money and products out to consumers and workers.”

“I’m excited to compete against my fellow ‘sharks’ to see which one of us offers Trump a better deal to reopen our economy,” O’Leary said, grinning.

Also joining President Trump’s “Opening our Country” Task Force include Mike Baxter, Executive Director of Marketing for Outdoor Man; Emmitt Smith and Roger Staubach, two former Dallas Cowboys who managed to be successful after their football careers ended; Lamar Hunt, Jr., owner of the Kansas City Mavericks hockey team and an Advisory Board Member for the Kansas City Chiefs; and Clark Hunt, CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs.
