President Donald Trump: Another Leader in a Time of Crisis and Hope
President Donald Trump continues leading the United States through the Coronavirus pandemic.
As more states start reopening their economies, we will see how long it takes fro Americans to return to our normal lives before Covid-19.
Much of the success or blame of America’s reopening will be directed at President Trump, regardless of whether it is fair or not. He has already been both praised and blamed for his actions when it comes to the Coronavirus and how the United States has responded to it.
Despite our personal beliefs when it comes to politics, we need to come together and support our President in this time of crisis and hope.
President Trump is leading the United States during a global Coronavirus (Covid-19)
pandemic. The last time that happened was in 1917-1918 when the Spanish Flu swept across the world after World War II.
If Joe Biden, the presumptive Democrat nominee for President in 2020, along with the Democrats and leftist media pundits attack Trump for his response and actions to combat Covid-19, then every world leader deserves to be attacked. I don’t hear the Democrats attacking Chinese President Xi or any other foreign leader for how those countries handled the Coronavirus.
Remember, Biden called Trump’s travel ban against China as “racist” and “xenophobic.” That was in late January and February, before the Covid-19 outbreak grew in the United States. Biden retracted himself only after it proved that Trump’s travel ban worked to slow the spread of the virus.
Trump has been attacked by liberals, Democrats and the Mainstream Media since he ran for President in 2016, before he even won the election and became President.
First, there was the “Russian Collusion” hoax. It dogged Trump’s first three years in office and led to the partisan Mueller Investigation and Report. Yet Robert Mueller and the Democrats found no evidence that Trump, his family or his campaign collided with Russia to win the election.
The new “ObamaGate” information that has been released over the best few weeks reveals the role Obama officials — including Joe Biden — took against President Trump and his administration officials before he took office.
The recently released transcripts of the closed-door testimony these same Obama officials had with Congress in 2017 reveal that they never had any evidence that proves Trump and his team collided with anybody. Yet these same people had made numerous appearances on television claiming to have evidence Trump colluded with Russia. In other words, they lied when they said Trump was a Russian agent.
President Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election because the American people elected him.
Then, there was Ukraine and the impeachment trial. We all know how that turned out. The Democrats. The Republican-controlled Senate was right to not call for more witnesses in this sham impeachment trial. The Senate Republicans (except for Mitt Romney) acquitted President Trump and refused to impeach him, which would have led to his removal from office.
Now, there’s the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, which originated in China and covered up by the Chinese Communist Party.
While in the hospital being rushed to emergency surgery following an assassination attempt on his life in 1981, President Ronald Reagan famously said to the doctor: “I hope you’re all Republicans.”
To which the doctor responded, “Today, Mr. President, we’re all Republicans.”
The doctor reassured the president that no matter what the doctors and nurses’ personal beliefs were when it comes to politics, they would still do their job and save his life. It also relieved some tension because the President said it as a joke.
People don’t call Reagan the “Great Entertainer” for nothing.
Because those doctors and nurses saved Reagan’s life, he was able to lead the United States in the last stages of the Cold War and beat the Soviets. America won the Cold War thanks to Reagan.
Likewise, President Trump is leading the United States during the Coronavirus pandemic. Regular Americans can come together and see him not just as a Republican President, but as the President of the United States leading our nation in both peace and war.
George Washington led America in the American Revolution before we were a country. He may or have won every battle, especially in the early stages of the war. but he did keep his Continental Army intact. Without his efforts and those of his men in the Continental Army, the United States of America wouldn’t exist today.
President Ulysses S. Grant was considered immoral because he was an alcoholic. And alcoholism was considered a mortal sin in the 1800s, not an addiction (like it is today). He was even dishonorably discharged from the Army because of his drinking problem.
To put that in context, if today’s Mainstream Media was around during Grant’s presidency, they would attack him everyday for his past problems with alcohol and attack his family because they are his wife and children. They would even say Grant wasn’t fit to serve as President because of his past mistakes.
But when the American Civil War broke out, Grant rose to the challenge and was reinstated. He worked hard to win battles for the Union Army, first in the West along the Mississippi River, and then as the leader of the Army of the Potomac in the East.
The best decision President Abraham Lincoln made was putting Grant in charge. Grant was the best general in the Union Army and didn’t retreat, unlike previous Union generals in the East. He pressed the attack was able to force Confederate General Robert E. Lee to surrender.
If Grant wasn’t able to overcome his past struggles with alcohol, our country would have stayed divided between North and South.
John F. Kennedy led the U.S. through the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The list goes on.
Like the Presidents before him, President Trump has had his share of difficult situations.
We hope that reopening America and restarting our economy will be successful.
We hope that there won’t be any more flare-ups or waves of Covid-19 going forward.
And we continue to hope that our lives will return to normal sooner rather than later.
We can’t stay shut down indefinitely. People need to get back to work. People need to support themselves and their families.
President Trump understands that. It is why he is pushing for the indivisible states to reopen, and why many governors (mostly in red states) are reopening their state economies and businesses operating in this states. Those few blue state governors who are holding out will have to open their states up.
It is clear that President Trump will still be praised and criticized for reopening America again, right up to Election Day in November 2020.
Despite the fierce opposition he has faced throughout his presidency, President Trump has accomplished so many great things in his short time as President.
He helped build up the U.S. economy and he will do it again after the Coronavirus.
It will be amazing to see what President Trump accomplishes if he wins a second term in November.
As more states start reopening their economies, we will see how long it takes fro Americans to return to our normal lives before Covid-19.
