Reflection on President Trump’s campaign rally in Tulsa
President Donald Trump has returned to the campaign trail.
Trump held a “comeback” rally on Saturday, June 20, at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK.
It was his first campaign rally in over three months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Between 6,000 and 12,000 people attended the rally, which took place in an indoor facility that could hold 19,000. News outlets have reported the number was around 6,200 people.
Democrats and the mainstream media quickly condemned the rally’s low attendance, pointing out Trump’s ability to draw packed crowds to his rallies. They claim it shows a lack of enthusiasm for Trump and his reelection campaign.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
There were over 1 million ticket requests for Trump’s Tulsa rally. Obviously, not all of those people could get inside the stadium.
Tens of thousands of Trump supporters gathered outside the arena in Tulsa in the days leading up to the rally, either celebrating or trying to get their chance to get a ticket.
Anti-Trump protesters and Coronavirus fears played a role in the low attendance.
Anti-Trump protests led by AntiFa and Black Lives Matter were taking place outside the arena and in downtown Tulsa. These same groups were behind the rioting and looking that has taken place throughout our country in the wake of George Floyd’s death at the hands of four crooked police officers.
Businesses and entire communities were destroyed because of the violent rioters, who are now turning their attention to destroying statues and monuments of prominent American figures, not just Confederate ones. Statues of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Theodore Roosevelt and other pro-American monuments have been attacked by Left-wing mobs who want to destroy American history and culture.
The anti-Trump protesters’ presence led to the potential for violent clashes either with police or Trump supporters in Tulsa. City officials in Tulsa even declared a civil emergency and a curfew for the day of the rally because of the risk of potential violence breaking out.
In the days leading up to Trump’s Tulsa rally, the mainstream media claimed the rally was going to be a hotbed for spreading the Coronavirus.
This is ironic because these same politicians and media pundits who claim Trump was spreading the virus by having a rally in the first place don’t condemn large events that liberals support.
These same people don’t condemn the anti-police protests throughout our country that draw large crowds, with people not wearing masks or practicing social distancing.
Even with around 6,200 people, the packed crowd was still able to be loud and vocal in their support for President Trump, even though the facility wasn’t at full attendance.
Fox News’ Laura Ingraham reported that Trump’s Tulsa rally also generated a record number of viewers through television and online streaming. Trump’s rally, which was broadcast on Fox News Channel, set a new Fox News record for a Saturday night audience.
Trump has plenty of enthusiasm going for him five months until Election Day. A Fox News poll shows 62% of Trump supporters are enthusiastic, while Joe Biden—Trump’s Democrat rival in 2020—only had around 31% enthusiasm among his supporters.
No matter how many people showed up for Trump’s “Make America Great Again” rally in Tulsa, marking his return to the campaign trail after the lockdown and economic shutdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the media and Democrats were always going to condemn it. Their coverage leading up to the rally has always been negative, just as they’ve done the last four years ever since Trump ran in 2016.
Our economy is starting to recover from the coronavirus. States and businesses are starting to open back again.
We need to work harder to support President Trump and make sure he wins in November.
Trump strengthened our country and our U.S. economy once. He can do it again.
Together, we will make America great again.
