Biden-Harris Ticket is the anti-Catholic Ticket

[This is an updated version of an article I posted on Aug. 3, 2020.]

It’s official: Democratic Presumptive Nominee Joe Biden will select California Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) as his Vice-Presidential running mate.

Biden, who had pledged to only select a woman (and later, a woman of color) as his running mate, announced Harris as his Vice-Presidential nominee on Tuesday, Aug 11.

Harris was on a shortlist of liberal Democrat women to become Biden’s Vice President, which included former National Security Advisor Susan Rice and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass).

Biden was originally supposed to announce it at the beginning of August, but he and his campaign delayed the process for over a week.

Now that Biden has chosen Harris as his running mate, it is more evidence that Biden and the Democrat Party have become the Anti-Catholic Party and openly hostile to Catholics.

Even though Biden says he is a “devout” Catholic and that his personal faith is important to him, his actions and policy beliefs show that he doesn’t care about Catholic Church teaching or the Catholic faith, especially when it comes to abortion and the recent anti-Catholic attacks by Left-wing anarchists on Catholics, Catholic churches and Catholic statues.

Biden himself has vowed to impose Obama-Biden era penalties against the Little Sisters of the Poor in order to force the Catholic order of nuns to fund contraceptives and other abortion drugs.

In contrast, President Donald Trump and his administration have defended and supported the Little Sisters of the Poor and religious liberty.

Biden’s support for abortion has also become more radical over the years, breaking away from the Catholic Church’s position against abortion.

If Joe Biden was a good Catholic, and if his faith was important to him as he claims, why would he force Catholic nuns to fund abortions, or any Catholic organization for that matter?

The truth is that Biden is a Catholic in Name Only (CINO), just as establishment Republicans like Mitt Romney are a Republican in Name Only (RINO). The same applies to the “Republicans” and “conservatives” behind the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group.

Harris herself has a history of anti-Catholic bias.

In December 2018, Harris joined Sen. Marie Hirono (D-Hawaii) in attacking then-judicial nominee Brian Buescher, a white Catholic man and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Harris and Hirono attacked Buescher for his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic lay organization.

Harris called the Knights of Columbus “an all-male society comprised of Catholic men” that opposes abortion, which Harris calls a woman’s “right to choose.”

Harris believes that Catholic men who oppose abortion and follow their faith cannot hold public office.

Her comments are not only anti-Catholic, but are also sexist against men.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Buescher to his position in July 2019.

Harris also attacked now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearing in September and October 2018.

Kavanaugh, a Catholic man, was wrongly accused of sexual assault allegations during his confirmation.

No credible evidence was found during the investigation and Kavanaugh was cleared of the allegations.

Harris also doubled down on calls to impeach Justice Kavanaugh in Sept. 2019.

Could Harris’ attacks against Kavanaugh be motivated by her bias against Catholics?

But let’s look at more recent examples of Harris’ anti-Catholic bias.

Harris hasn’t publicly condemned the attacks and arson against Catholic churches and statues in the wake of violent anti-police protests and riots after the death of George Floyd in May 2020.

It didn’t take long before the far-left mob turned their attention not just to destroying police and Federal buildings, but also onto American and Catholic monuments and statues.

Harris hasn’t condemned AntiFa and Black Lives Matter anarchists who attack St. Junipero Serra and St. Louis statues.

She didn’t condemn the radical protesters who attempted to remove the St. Louis statue in St. Louis, MO, and change the city’s name.

St. Louis was named after Saint Louis IX, King of France. Radical protesters

She didn’t condemn those same radicals who attacked the peaceful (yes, peaceful) Catholic counter-protesters, including a young Catholic priest, protecting the St. Louis statue in the city named after him. The Catholic group was ridiculed by the mob as they prayed the Rosary and stood up for St. Louis.

As of this publication, Biden himself still hasn’t publically condemned the far-left anarchists and rioters who have attacked Catholics, Catholic churches and Catholic statues through violence, arson and vandalism.

CatholicVote’s Brian Burch called out Biden for being silent during the attacks directed against Catholics.

A Biden-Harris would show that the Democrat Party has become more openly anti-Catholic. They would become the New Know-Nothing Party.

If Biden is elected President, he will renew the Obama-Biden Administrations attacks against religious liberty and the Little Sisters of the Poor.

In contrast to Biden, President Donald Trump has worked hard to protect religious liberty and the rights of Catholic Americans and other religious groups in the United States.

Trump’s actions show that he cares about the American people and protecting our freedoms, including religious liberty.

Trump may or may not be a Christian, but look at what he says and does. He has been the most pro-life President since Ronald Reagan. He has defended the Little Sisters of the Poor and businesses from the ObamaCare Individual Mandate.

The decision voters face in November will be between which system of government we want.

Do we want a government that will force religious groups and individuals to fund abortion drugs, or do we want a government that will protect religious liberty and our First Amendment rights?

President Trump has worked hard to protect religious freedom and put the American people first throughout his presidency. He stood up for the Little Sisters of the Poor and condemned the violent attacks against Catholics.

Trump’s Justice Department is also going after the violent rioters and anarchists attacking our cities and churches.

He will continue to enforce law and order if he is wins a second term in November.
