(Parody) “Devout” Catholic Joe Biden selects anti-Catholic Senator as his VP Nominee

Joe Biden (finally) has a running mate.

After everyone in the nation was wondering if they’d finished binge watching every Netflix show by the time the Democrats had a Vice-Presidential pick, Joe Biden announced that Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is his Vice President nominee.

Biden, the Democratic Presidential Nominee, had delayed announcing his VP since August 1, which was the original VP nominee announcement date.

“I am proud to have Kamala Harris as my Vice President,” Biden said as he read prepared statements at his press conference Tuesday, Aug. 11. “She is talented and we share the same goals and interests. She’s exactly the person I want running the country — I mean, standing by my side and helping me with my agenda.”

Biden’s remakes immediately were criticized by President Donald Trump and conservatives.

“Joe Biden claims he’s a ‘devout’ Catholic, but he just selected Kamala Harris, an avowed anti-Catholic Senator, as his running mate,” Trump tweeted shortly after Biden’s announcement Tuesday. “She attacked Brian Buescher because he is a Knight of Columbus, great guy and great organization.”

Harris received criticism in December 2018 after she wrote anti-Catholic questions to Brian Buescher, who was then a Federal judicial nominee.

Harris joined Sen. Maize Hirono (D-Hawaii) I’m attacking Buescher for his membership in the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic lay organization consisting of Catholic men.

Harris and Hirono’s actions were anti-Catholic because they believed Catholic men who gainfully practice the Roman Catholic faith can’t objectively serve in public office, which angered many conservatives and Catholics.

The U.S. confirmed Buescher to his new position in July 2019.

This isn’t the first time Biden has been accused of ignoring both bias and violence against Catholics.

Biden himself promised to impose Obama-Biden era restrictions against the Little Sisters of the Poor, a Catholic order of nuns, in order to force the nuns to fund contraceptives and other abortion drugs.

 

President Trump supports the Little Sisters of the Poor and worked to get the organization a religious exemption from the “ObamaCare Mandate.”

 

The U.S. Supreme Court has twice ruled in favor of the Little Sisters of the Poor.


Biden has also remained silent about the leftist anarchist attacks against Catholics, Catholic churches and Catholic statues in the wake of anti-police protests and riots which started in May 2020.

As of this writing, Biden still hasn’t publicly condemned the rioters and anarchists, including the attacks against Catholics.

“Joe Biden is against lay Catholics and faithful Catholics alike,” Trump said in a follow-up tweet. “If he and Harris can attack Catholic nuns and Catholic judges, they can go after anybody, including everyday Americans like you, whether you’re Catholic or not. The American people won’t be safe if Biden becomes President.”

Local Kansas City parish hosts annual Marian Conference
