Joe Biden: Year One in Review

We have now been through the first year of Joe Biden as “President of the United States.”

In this article, I look at some of the issued faced during the Biden Administration and how Biden’s decisions have mostly affected Americans and the United States in a negative way. 

 

 

Stimulus Checks and Student Loans

 

One of Biden’s pros is that he wanted to give $1,400 stimulus checks to Americans. 

 

Biden made this measure a part of his $1.9 trillion stimulus relief package he announced. 

 

He followed through by signing the $1.9 trillion spending bill, which guarantees $1,400 stimulus check to American citizens. 

 

He also increased the child tax cut for 2021. 

 

However, Biden and the Democrats had promised on numerous occasions to give Americans $2,000 stimulus checks — not $1,400  checks. 

 

Biden also is willing to compromise on an infrastructure spending bill. It remains to be seen if he’ll go through with it. 

 

Yet despite extending student loan payment freeze until May 2022, after extending it to February 2022, Biden broke his campaign promise to cancel $10,000 per student loan during the 2020 campaign trail.

 

Even Democrats condemned Biden for not cancelling student loan debt for people.

 

 

Abortion

 

One of the biggest things going against Biden is the conflicting portrayal of his personal Catholic faith. 

 

Biden claims to be a faithful Catholic, but his actions when it comes to abortion are out-of-touch with the Catholic Church’s teachings against abortion. 

 

Thus, he is dividing American Catholics because he supports the killing of unborn children and pro-abortion policies.

 

Biden vowed during the 2020 campaign last year to end the Hyde Amendment, which prevents federal funding of U.S. taxpayer dollars for abortion, and to codify Roe v. Wade into law, thereby making it more difficult to protect the unborn children in the womb. 

 

Further, Biden has repeatedly said that he would continue the Obama-Biden Administration’s legal actions against the Little Sisters of the Poor, a Catholic order of nuns. 

 

Unlike President Donald Trump, who addressed the March for Life rally in D.C. throughout his presidency, Biden didn’t attend the March for Life rally in 2022.

 

Instead of taking this opportunity to publicly repent and commit to protecting unborn children, Biden reaffirmed his radical support for abortion and Roe on January 22, one day after the March for Life Rally was held.

 

Biden’s pro-abortion stances give the impression he doesn’t care about protecting unborn children or following his Catholic faith when it comes to opposing abortion. 

 

On the one hand, Biden claims his Catholic faith is important to him. On the other hand, he plans to enact policies that would force Catholic American taxpayers to fund abortions and make Catholic nuns provide funding for contraceptives and other abortion drugs. 

 

It wouldn’t be hard for faithful practicing Catholics to believe Biden is scandalizing the Church and what it means to be a Catholic. 

 

Further, Biden’s new budget for Fiscal Year 2022 would force American taxpayers to fund abortions, putting a stop to the pro-life Hyde Amendment protections. 

 

 

Inflation and the U.S. Economy

 

Another problem facing Biden is the U.S. Economy. Biden’s push for inflation and attacks against American energy independence have increased prices on common items that effect regular Americans, including gas and food.

 

Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL Pipeline with an executive order on his first day in office put strains on America’s oil and gas energy. It was proof that the Biden Administration cared nothing about American workers and their jobs. 

 

Biden claims he wants to help Americans, but his decision to stop the Keystone Pipeline resigned in over 10,000 people losing their jobs, including union jobs. 

 

The Keystone project also would have helped America be energy independent, allow oil and fissile fuels to be transported via the pipeline to the United States. 

 

Now, that oil would go to foreign countries or it would have to be transported by vehicles and trains. 

 

It is hard for Biden to claim he’s pro-American worker when he is supporting policies aimed at terminating American jobs in the United States, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic. 

 

TC Energy terminated the Keystone Pipeline project on Wednesday, June 9, ending any chance of those jobs coming back. 

 

Further evidence against Biden’s support of America and American workers is the fact that his administration ended sanctions against the Russian Nord Stream 2 Pipeline, allowing Russia to send natural gas and energy to Germany and Western Europe. This move will send millions of dollars to Vladimir Putin and his cronies in Russia. 

 

This action also makes Biden and the Democrats’ tough-talk against Putin and Russia hypocritical since they support an action that benefits Russia. 

 

It’s ironic that Biden chose to help Russian workers while also cancelling the Keystone Pipeline and the thousands of American jobs it would have created. 

 

The fact that lobbyists for the Russian pipeline donated millions to Biden’s campaign adds to a conflict of interest. 

 

Biden and his administration also have been ineffective at putting pressure on Russia after Russian-backed hackers launched a cyberattack against the Colonial Pipeline in May 2021, causing a massive gas shortage along the U.S. East Coast and Southeast. 

 

It doesn’t help that Biden’s Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm, showed no empathy for Americans affected by the gas crisis, insisting that they would have been obey “if you drive an electric car.” 

 

Inflation has caused skyrocketing prices on everyday goods Americans rely on, including energy, gas, food and drink.

 

Yet Biden believes more inflation is a good thing, as TurningPoint USA’s Charlie Kirk reports on the fallout from Biden calling Fox News Reporter Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a b***h.” Biden’s remark calling for more inflation shows that Biden doesn’t care about regular Americans paying more for things they need.

 

 

The Border Crisis

 

Biden has also rolled back “America First” policies enacted by President Donald Trump, particularly when it comes to immigration and the U.S. Southern Border. His actions supporting illegal immigration and open borders continue to put Americans at risk.

 

The U.S. Southern Border is facing a crisis as thousands and tens of thousands of illegal immigrants continue heading towards the United States and enter the country illegally.

 

It is estimated that two million illegal aliens entered the United States in 2021.

 

This influx of illegals drives down American workers’ wages and takes away their jobs.

 

Biden and his administration are covering up the crisis on the U.S. Southern Border by downplaying it and ignoring it. They have also covered it up by transporting illegal immigrants throughout the country on buses and planes, mostly under the cover of night.

 

The Democrats are interested in bringing in more people who will vote for them in the elections. They do not care about

 

Even illegal migrants who tested positive for Covid-19 are not quarantined or held in a border facility, but are released into the U.S. under the Biden rules. 

 

 

Covid Vaccine Mandates

 

The crisis on the U.S. Southern Border further undercuts the Biden Administration’s public goals of combating the Covid-19 Pandemic and undercuts the Democrats’ arguments supporting continued lockdowns on legal U.S. citizens. 

 

From a health standpoint, it makes sense to have strong border enforcement during a global pandemic. We cannot as a country allow people to come illegally into the United States—with no resources to track them once they are released into the interior—where they could spread the Covid-19 virus. 

 

Even with Covid vaccines being distributed, if the Biden Administration won’t stop the border crisis now, it shows that they aren’t serious about combating the Chinese Coronavirus Pandemic. 

 

Biden’s border policies show that his administration discriminates against American citizens while giving a pass to illegals when it comes to the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic.

 

If American citizens are required to wear masks and social distance on a daily basis and just quarantine for at least 14 days after testing positive for Covid-19 (and even while they’re waiting for their Covid test results), then Biden must step up and shut down the Southern Border if only to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. 

 

Furthermore, Biden has targeted Americans with unconstitutional Covid vaccine mandates while refusing to require Covid vaccinations for people entering the United States illegally. That just shows a double standard determined to hurt hard-working regular Americans.

 

His actions are a blatant attempt by the federal government to intimidate private American citizens and interfere in their personal health decisions, which is an invasion of medical privacy.

 

Biden and his administration have demonized millions of unvaccinated Americans. He believes the federal government should have the power over individuals’ personal and private health decisions.

 

He has issued vaccine mandates for businesses in September 2021, which if in effect would have terminated hundreds of thousands and millions of unvaccinated workers or subject them to weekly Covid tests as a condition of employment.

 

Biden and his DOD, especially Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, have discharged thousands of U.S. soldiers who refused to task the Covid vaccine or who filed for exemptions to the vaccine.

 

If Biden cared about American soldiers, why is his administration threatening to fine them or discharge them if they decline to get vaccinated?  

 

It is clear that Biden is the one who hates our troops, not Former President Donald Trump. If Trump had attacked soldiers who refused to get the Covid shot, you can bet the media would attack him.

 

The good news is that Republicans governors have also taken action to combat the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional mandates for American soldiers and American workers. For example, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) announced in December 2021 that Texas would not enforce Biden’s vaccine mandates for Texas National Guard soldiers, taking a firm stand against Biden and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

 

This announcement came after Abbott instructed Texas Adjacent General Tracy Norris not to punish Texas National Guardsmen who declined to take the Covid vaccine and booster shots back in October 2021. 

 

Before that, Abbott issued an executive order in August 2021 that prohibited government entities in Texas from imposing vaccine mandates. 

 

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has also taken a strong stance against Biden’s vaccine and mask mandates. DeSantis joined other Republican governors in combating Biden’s vaccine mandates on employees.

 

DeSantis’ policies are aimed at protecting the freedoms of Florida’s citizens, including banning mask mandates in Florida schools. He is proof that conservatives can stand their ground against Biden, as DeSantis discussed in a recent interview with Mark Levin.

 

Conservatives have also received victories in the courts when it comes to fighting back against vaccine mandates. Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandates for workers at businesses with 100 or more employees, military personnel and federal employees were struck down in the courts, with the Supreme Court handing the Biden Administration resounding defeats.

 

Unfortunately, the Supreme Court ruled against healthcare workers and upheld the vaccine mandate for doctors and nurses.

 

 

Election Integrity

 

Biden’s attacks on Americans aren’t focus on vaccines. He also attacks Republican efforts to secure elections at the state level.

 

These attacks come as red state Republicans pushed for legislation to secure their states’ election laws in the wake of voter and election fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, which was stolen from President Trump in order to ensure Biden “won” the presidency.

 

Texas Democrats infamously fled the state on private jets during Summer 2021 in an effort to block Texas’ election integrity bill, but Texas Republicans, including Governor Abbott, held firm. They were able to force the state Democrats to return to Texas after Abbott called for special sessions to resume the Texas Legislature’s business.

 

The Texas Legislation passed the bill and Governor Abbott signed it into law.

 

Similarly, other red states have passed election integrity bills.

 

Naturally, Biden and Democrats attack Republicans and these bills as “Jim Crow 2.0”, while the Democrats try to federalize elections, which is in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

 

Democrats’ attacks against election integrity are meant to further their goal of making sure they steal every election going forward.

 

 

Biden’s health

 

Biden’s health is also a major concern. He made many gaffes on the 2020 Campaign and continues making gaffes into his “Presidency.”

 

It’s obvious that Biden is mentally and physically impaired. From the 2020 Campaign to January 2022, there have been many times where Biden is either mumbling or saying incoherent things when he isn’t reading from a teleprompter. A lot of times, he also loses his train of thought.

 

Biden’s repeated falls on the stairs going up to Air Force One on March 19, 2021, are another example of his mental and physical deterioration.

 

It also shows how the media goes easy on Biden after they have attacked President Donald Trump and his physical and mental abilities for over four years now. 

 

 

Afghanistan

 

The other problem facing Biden is his administration’s flawed and failed withdrawal from Afghanistan. His actions hurt America’s standing in the world.

 

Biden and his administration didn’t follow through on President Trump’s plan for a withdrawal because they showed weakness.

 

Kesh Patel, Former Chief of Staff to the Acting Secretary of Defense during the Trump Administration, asserts that the Taliban knew that once Biden took over, they wouldn’t face any retaliation from the United States when they invaded Afghanistan. 

 

Biden also had no plan to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan and our Afghan allies who aided our troops over the past 20 years. The videos and photos of Chinook helicopters flying over Kabul, Afghanistan, are exactly the same images we saw when helicopters evacuated the U.S. Embassy after the North Vietnamese invaded South Vietnam at the end of the Vietnam War. 

 

This situation in Afghanistan is Biden’s “Saigon” moment and he bears the blame for leaving billions of dollars of military weapons and equipment behind for the Taliban.

 

It is no wonder that Former President Donald Trump called for Biden to resign over Afghanistan.

 

Yet Biden failed to take responsibility for his administration’s failures and instead blamed President Donald Trump and the Trump Administration for the collapse in Afghanistan even though Trump isn’t in office. 

 

Liberal media pundits and leftist Hollywood celebrities also blamed Trump for Afghanistan, echoing Biden’s false claims.

 

Classic radical leftist rhetoric. 

 

What is worse is that Biden ignored the initial fall of Afghanistan by staying on vacation at Camp David over the weekend. He only returned to give a brief press conference with no questions before going back in his extended vacation.

 

The leftist media would be angry if Trump did that same thing, but since Biden is their leader they defended him as they always do. 

 

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), in the Republican Response to Joe Biden’s speech to the Joint Session of Congress in 2021, points out how Biden and the Democrats’ policies further divide Americans (conservatives and liberals), despite Biden’s campaign message of bringing “healing” and “unity.” Biden has failed to bring Americans together and continues to sow the seeds of division. 

 

January 6

 

Lastly, Biden, the Democrats and RINOs have used January 6, 2021, to divide the country and attack conservatives – the vast majority of President Trump’s supporters.

 

Tens of thousands of people attended Trump’s rally on January 6, 2021, and were peaceful. Only a few hundred people broke into the Capitol Building.

 

In his speech President Trump didn’t tell his supporters to commit violence. He told them to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard. The vast majority of them were.

 

The fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to accept House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s picks for the January 6 Committee, violating House rules, prove that it is a sham committee determined to attack Trump.

 

So does the fact that anti-Trumpers Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are the only “Republicans” on the committee.

 

It is just another witch hunt trying to hurt President Trump.

 

Democrats and RINOs also ignore the growing evidence that the FBI had undercover agents and informants present before and during the Capitol Riot.

 

January 6 also shows that Biden and the Democrats only condemn political violence when it suits them. They were more than happy to “incite violence” and support riots when leftist AntiFa and Black Lives Matter extremists spent months destroying American cities in the Summer of 2020. They were interested in causing political unrest in order to hurt President Trump before the 2020 Election.

 

Biden and Democrats are more concerned with attacking school children parents and Trump supporters as “domestic terrorists” than they are about stopping left-wing rioters and extremists.

 

 

Conclusion

 

In conclusion, Biden has done more harm than good for the American people. He isn’t a moderate trying to unify Americans. He is a radical tyrant trying to spread division in the United States and hurt Americans on every level.
